Inside a fridge the useful space is usually the door and the vertical gap above each shelf — not the shelf itself. These are the bins, magnetic racks and slim gap shelves that use it.
One rule worth knowing: the magnetic pieces need a steel door or a steel side panel. They will not hold on a glass-front door or a plastic liner.
