I wanted to put travel size perfume in it and it's way too short for that. My fault for not checking. Once I switched to swabs it made sense. Just know it's a small counter jar, not a shelf or a big apothecary piece.
Liked the first one enough that I grabbed another for our camper bathroom. It's light so it doesn't tip, and nothing spills out even on bumpy drives. Keeps swabs from rolling around in a cabinet.
I have a lot of bamboo and white in my bathroom so this blends right in. The acrylic is fully clear, not frosty, and the bamboo top is a light natural shade, not dark. Sits next to my soap dish like it was meant to be there.
The little peg on the lid works to lift it, but it's small and my fingers slip sometimes. Besides that, it's a clean looking jar and the acrylic is thick, not flimsy like some I've seen. Good for the price.
I didn't want a giant jar taking over my small bathroom counter. This one is about phone height, holds a weeks worth of swabs for just me. Clear sides mean I know when to restock without lifting the lid.
The jar itself is solid and the size is right for swabs. After about six weeks the bamboo lid has a couple of darker spots from water splashes near the sink. Still works fine, just doesn't stay looking new.
My cotton pads used to sit in an open dish near the sink and would go soft from the humidity. This jar keeps them dry. It's not airtight or anything but the lid sitting on top makes a real difference.
My girlfriend's hair ties were everywhere, drawer, counter, floor. Dropped this jar on the counter and now they all live in one place. The bamboo lid keeps them from getting dusty which I didn't even think about before.
Bought it thinking my round cotton pads would fit stacked. They do, but only about eight of them before it's full. Works fine for swabs though, and the acrylic hasn't scratched even with daily use.
I use it for floss picks, not swabs. The opening is wide enough that the picks don't get jammed up and I can grab one without digging. Acrylic wipes clean with just a damp cloth, no cloudiness after a month.
Put this on the guest bath counter with cotton balls in it. Guests actually use them now instead of digging through a basket. The round opening is wide enough that you're not fighting to get stuff out.
It's a nice little jar and the acrylic is thick enough, but I underestimated how small two fingers wide really is. Holds maybe a third of a normal swab box. If you go through a lot of swabs you'll be refilling it constantly.
I actually checked the dimensions before ordering, 2.8 inches across and 4.5 tall. It's exactly that. Fits between my soap dispenser and the wall without crowding anything. Swabs go in easy, my hand reaches in fine.
Looks great on my vanity and the size is perfect for q-tips. Only thing is the lid just rests on top, no seal at all, so if you bump it the top slides off. Not a dealbreaker for swabs but worth knowing.
Got the two jar option since I wanted pads separated from swabs. The clear acrylic looks clean on the counter and the bamboo tops match my other bathroom stuff. Each one holds a decent amount without taking up much space.
I had swabs living in a ripped plastic bag in my vanity drawer for two years. This little jar sits right next to the sink and I can see exactly when I'm running low. The bamboo lid is thin and light but does the job keeping dust off.
