Fits if: the top panel of a washer or a dryer. Measure the lid, not the floor: the mat sits on top and does not overhang.

Not for: a top-loader whose lid flips up in the middle. Trimming it to size - the edge is sealed, so a cut mat is a wet lid again. Anything hot.

Size: small 15.7 x 19.7 in (40 x 50 cm) up to 27 x 27 in (68.5 x 68.5 cm), 2 mm thick. 15.9 to 28.2 oz (450 to 800 g) packed.

If the washer and dryer live in a closet, the lid of the dryer is the only flat surface in the room. Mine had a bottle of detergent, a basket, and a ring of rust where a wet sponge sat for a month.

This is a mat that goes on top. It has a raised lip on all four edges, so a bottle that tips over stays on the mat instead of running down the back of the machine. The surface is textured, and that is the difference between a bottle that stays put during the spin cycle and one that walks off the edge halfway through.

Five sizes, from 15.7 x 19.7 in up to 27 x 27 in. Measure the lid rather than the floor - the mat sits on the top panel and does not overhang, so the number that matters is the lid.

It is a plastic mat about 2 mm thick. Not a shelf, not a rack, and there is no load rating on the sheet, so I am not going to invent one. Bottles, a basket, a folded towel: yes. Anything hot off the stove: no.

To clean it you lift the whole thing off and rinse it in the sink. That is the entire maintenance routine, and it is the reason the paint on the lid stays intact.
