Two baskets instead of one bowl

The fruit bowl on our counter was always a pile. Bananas went in first, everything else went on top of them, and by Friday the apples had bruises. Whatever ended up at the bottom stayed there until I dug it out.

This is two wire baskets on one frame. The top basket takes what you reach for every day - a bunch of bananas, a couple of oranges. The bottom one takes the heavier things: potatoes, onions, apples. Air moves through the wire on both, so nothing sweats in a closed pile.

It arrives as one piece. Stand the frame up, clip the two baskets onto the curved side frames and you are done - no screws and no tools. The baskets unclip by hand, so when you only need one you lift the top basket off and carry it to the table. The wooden grips on the ends are there for exactly that.

It measures 10.6 x 8.7 x 12.8 inches, so it sits under the wall cabinets on a normal counter. Put it on the counter, a sideboard or the dining table - nothing is screwed to anything, which is why it works in a rental. Matte black powder-coated steel wire with solid wood grips; a damp cloth is all it needs.

It ships folded flat, so it stores away just as easily if you pack it up between seasons.

Put it together in a minute flat

Stand the frame, clip two baskets, done. That part's great. It's a bit lighter gauge steel than I hoped for at this price, so I wouldn't load it with a ten pound bag of potatoes. For normal fruit duty it's plenty.

No more digging for the bottom fruit

Used to lose clementines at the bottom of a bowl until they got fuzzy. Now everything's visible at a glance. Assembled it on the counter in under two minutes, no tools needed, which is rare for anything in my kitchen.

Sturdy, wish it came in more colors

Build quality is better than I expected for wire baskets, no sharp ends poking out. I'd buy a second one tomorrow if it came in white to match my cabinets. Black is the only real option right now.

Folds flat for our RV

Bought this for the camper counter and it folds down flat when we travel, which is the whole reason I picked it. Holds a couple avocados and a tomato up top, granola bars below. Nothing rattled loose on the last trip.

Fine, but my counter run is tight

No fault of the product, I just didn't account for how much footprint it eats. 10.6 by 8.7 is accurate, but with the curve of the side frames it feels bigger in the corner. Kept it, moved the toaster instead.

Matched my black kitchen hardware

I was worried the matte black would look flat next to my stainless appliances but it actually reads as a nice contrast. The wood grips warm it up. It's the first thing people ask about when they walk in.

Sits on the sideboard in the dining room

We don't have counter space so this lives on the sideboard with pears and lemons in it. Looks intentional, not like storage. Took a star off because the lower basket's front wire has a tiny weld bump that catches my rag.

Six weeks in, still like new

Wiped it down once with a damp cloth after some sticky peach juice leaked. Powder coat hasn't chipped anywhere, even where the baskets clip on and off. Wood handles still tight.

Wish the baskets were deeper

It looks great and it's sturdy, no complaints there. But the sides are shallow so a couple of bigger apples rolled off when I bumped the counter. Nothing broke, I just have to arrange things carefully now.

Pantry version, second rack set

Bought the single first for the counter, then grabbed a second one for the pantry after two weeks. Now the pantry one holds garlic and shallots. Same easy assembly, maybe a minute each.

Onions down, bananas up

Lower basket holds a mesh bag of yellow onions and a few sweet potatoes. Upper basket is bananas only because my kids inhale them. Wire lets everything breathe, which matters here in Georgia humidity.

Good but smaller than I pictured

Quality is there and the matte black looks clean on my counter. My only gripe is the baskets hold less than my old bowl did, so I'm back to the store twice a week. If you buy in bulk, maybe get the two rack set.

Took the top basket to the table

Didn't expect to use the clip-off thing as much as I do. Carried the top basket out to the dining table with the fruit still in it during dinner. Clipped it right back on after. Frame feels solid, no flex.

I rent and I refuse to drill into anything. This just sits on the counter and does its job. The wooden handles are a nice touch, they make it look like furniture instead of wire shelving.

Fits under my cabinets with room

I measured before ordering and the 12.8 inch height clears my upper cabinets by about an inch. It holds a five pound bag of potatoes in the lower basket and four bananas plus three oranges up top. No screws, no wobble.

Finally stopped bruising the apples

My old ceramic bowl was basically an apple graveyard. This thing took about ninety seconds to set up and now bananas ride on top and the apples have their own floor. Air gets through so nothing gets that wet spot on the bottom anymore.
