I use this in my camper and it's been great. The weighted base keeps it from sliding when we're driving, and the steel finish matches the appliances. It's compact enough to store in a drawer when not in use. Two thumbs up from me.
The holder is very stable and the base doesn't slide. My only issue is that if you pull the towel at a weird angle, the whole roll can spin too fast and the paper comes loose. I just grab from the top and it's fine. Not a big deal.
I have a small overhang above my counter and this fits under it perfectly without hitting the top of the roll. The height is just right for my reach. I swapped my old wall mount for this and it's freed up the whole side of the fridge.
I've had stainless steel holders that looked cheap, but this one has a nice brushed finish and the welds are clean. It sits on my granite counter and doesn't look out of place. My wife even commented on it, which never happens.
The base is heavy, but the pole is a bit thin. I accidentally leaned on it when reaching for something and it bent slightly. I straightened it out but it's not perfectly vertical anymore. For light use it's fine, just don't lean on it.
I'm left-handed and this works great for me. The roll spins freely enough that I can pull and tear without the whole thing moving. I've used it for about three weeks and it's still as solid as day one. Worth the money.
The photos make the base look wider, but it's actually about 5 inches across. That's fine for stability, but I was hoping it would take up more room so it wouldn't get lost on my big island. It still works and looks good.
I cook a lot of pasta and boil water constantly, so there's plenty of steam. This hasn't rusted or discolored after six weeks. The wipe-clean finish is a plus, and I like that I don't have to drill holes in my backsplash.
I used to keep the roll on a hanging rod and it always ended up on the floor. Now I just lift the top cap, pop in a new roll, and done. The base doesn't slide on my tile either. I've had it for a month and it still looks new.
The product description says stainless steel, and it is, but it's shinier than I expected. I was going for a brushed nickel look, this is closer to chrome. Still looks good, and the base is definitely weighted. No complaints on function.
I live in a studio with barely any counter space, and this fits in the corner next to my coffee maker. It's about 12 inches tall and takes up a small footprint. I can pull towels one-handed while holding a mug. Very happy.
The holder is stable and looks nice, but the top cap that holds the roll in place is a little wobbly. It doesn't fall off, but it rattles if you bump it. For twenty bucks I expected a tighter fit, but it's not a deal breaker.
Liked it so much I ordered another for my workbench. The first one lives on my kitchen island and hasn't tipped once, even when I pull hard. The steel doesn't show water spots either, which is more than I can say for my sink.
Works well for standard rolls, but the extra-large commercial rolls from Costco don't fit. The pole is too short for those. But for regular paper towels it's perfect, and the base is heavy enough that my kids can't knock it over.
My old setup was a wall mount that I had to screw in, and it was a pain. This just sits on the counter and I'm not going back. The weighted base is solid, and the steel finish matches my faucet. Takes about 10 seconds to swap rolls.
I had a cheap plastic holder that kept sliding around. This one is heavy enough that I can rip a towel with one hand and it barely moves. I put it next to the stove and it fits perfectly under the cabinet.
