The powder coat finish is smooth and seems like it'll last. I hang a cast iron spatula on one hook and my dish rag on the other, no trouble. The roll tears clean every time. Best kitchen gadget I've picked up this year.
It's a solid product and the magnet is strong. However, I didn't account for the depth of the rod, so it bumps into my cabinet when mounted on the fridge side near the stove. Moved it to the front of the dishwasher, works much better.
I was skeptical about a magnet holding a roll, but this thing doesn't move. The steel frame feels thick and well made, not flimsy. Gun grey looks sharp against my white fridge. Would buy again as a gift.
My counter is about a foot wide between the sink and stove. This freed up that whole space. I can grab paper with one hand while stirring pasta. Installation took literally ten seconds, I timed it.
It holds fine but when I pull a sheet, the whole unit wiggles a bit on the fridge. The magnet is good, not great. Also, the rod has no end cap, so if you hit it, the roll slides off. Fine for light use.
Used to store paper towels under the sink and they'd get damp. Now they hang on the side of my washer in the laundry room for quick cleanups. The hooks hold a little spray bottle, which is handy.
Fits fine on the side of my fridge without hitting the wall, but I had to move it because the gap was too narrow. Works perfectly in a new spot near the cabinets. The finish is durable, no scratches after a month of constant use.
We use this in our RV kitchen, stuck to the metal wall above the sink. No drilling into the camper walls. Rolls spin smoothly even when we're driving on bumpy roads, no falling off.
I keep rearranging my kitchen and this is so easy to reposition. Pull it off, wipe the back, slap it somewhere else. Only reason not 5 stars is the hooks are a bit small for thicker pot holders, but fine for a towel.
The gun grey finish matches my appliances way better than I thought. It looks like it came with the kitchen, not like a plastic add-on. Everyone who visits asks where I got it.
The magnetic back is solid, no complaints there. But the rod is a bit short for some jumbo rolls I had from Costco, they fit tight and didn't spin. Regular store brand rolls work great though. I wish it was an inch longer.
Landlord said no drilling, this was the answer. Stuck it on the side of the range hood, and it's been there for weeks. I hang a wet sponge underneath and the hooks hold it fine. Removed it once to clean, reattached in seconds.
Liked it so much in the kitchen I bought another for the garage workbench. That one hangs on the side of my metal toolbox. Held up to humidity and grime, no rust spots yet.
Sticks great to my stainless fridge, but my friend's fridge has that textured finish and it wouldn't hold. I measured my roll first, standard size fits fine. Slightly smaller than I pictured but does the job.
Kitchen is tiny, so every inch counts. Mounted it on the dishwasher front and it holds a full roll plus my dish towel on the hooks. Magnet is seriously strong, hasn't budged in two months.
