The tower itself is well made and holds forty capsules without any issue. My problem is it takes up a chunk of counter space at the base and I have a tiny kitchen, so I ended up moving it to the pantry. If you have the room, it is a good buy.
I bought this hoping to organize a mix of capsules and soft coffee bags. The Nespresso Originals sit fine, but the soft bags just flop over in the wire cradles and fall out when it turns. Fair product, just not as versatile as I hoped.
I knew it was 14.8 inches but it still felt taller than I imagined once it was on the shelf. It fits under my upper cabinets with maybe an inch to spare. No issues with the wire or the rotation after a month of daily use.
The matte black finish is sharp but it shows every speck of dust in my kitchen, so I wipe it down more than I expected. That said it holds forty pods, spins smoothly, and got my drawer back, so I am keeping it.
It does exactly what it says and looks clean on the counter. My only gripe is the 4.5 inch base is a touch narrow for how tall it is, so if I spin it too fast with a full load it wobbles a little. Normal use is totally fine though.
I did not read closely enough and tried to put my Vertuo pods in here first. They do not fit at all, which is my fault, so I gave the tower to my sister who has an Original machine and she loves it. The wire and rotation feel solid for the price.
I counted and it really does take forty Nespresso Original capsules. The cradles hold the small tapered pods snug, and the whole carousel turns without any of them popping out. I keep it on the pantry shelf and grab a pod before I even walk to the machine.
I have moved twice with this thing and it just lifts off the counter and goes in a box. No drilling, no mounting hardware lost in a drawer somewhere. It has held up fine and the matte black has not chipped at all.
I set up a little coffee corner on my counter with the machine, a mug tree, and this tower. It holds forty pods in three columns and the rotation means I can see every flavor without moving anything. My wife stopped complaining about the mess.
I have had mine for about two months and it does collect a little dust on the wire, but a damp cloth takes care of it in ten seconds. I keep it away from the sink so steam is not an issue. Still looks brand new.
I liked the first one so much in my kitchen that I ordered another for the office break room. It sits on the counter by the office machine and people actually put their pods back now instead of leaving them everywhere. The height is about two mugs stacked, so it fits under the upper cabinets fine.
At 1.3 pounds it does not slide around when I spin it, which was my main worry. I keep it next to the machine and turn it with one finger while I am still half asleep. The silver matches my kettle and toaster nicely.
I was so tired of digging through a drawer full of loose capsules every morning. This holds all forty of the Nespresso Original pods I had rolling around, and now the drawer is just for utensils again. Worth every bit of the twenty eight bucks.
I keep mine on an open kitchen shelf where people can see it, and the matte black actually looks intentional rather than messy. The wire is thin but the whole thing feels sturdy. I have about thirty pods in it right now because I ran out of one flavor.
There is basically no assembly. It came as one piece and I just set it on the pantry shelf and started loading pods. My old system was a clear plastic bin where everything just piled up, so being able to spin and grab is a real upgrade for my morning routine.
I measured before ordering and the 4.5 inch base fits in the little gap between my coffee maker and the wall. I counted out forty capsules and they all dropped in without any wobble. The spin is smooth even when it is full, which surprised me for the price.
