The slippers that never dried

Ours sat on the bathroom floor by the shower door. They stayed damp most of the day, the tile underneath never got a chance to dry, and after a few weeks that corner had a smell to it. Somebody was always stepping over them on the way in.

This is a bar that gets them off the floor. Two round pads press flat onto the tile and lock with a little latch - no drill, no screws, nothing to fill in when you leave. The slippers hang soles facing out, so the water runs off and down the drain instead of sitting inside the shoe.

It is one round bar with a pad at each end, and that is the entire thing. No hooks to work around, no second rail, no basket. Put it where the shower wall meets the glass and the floor in front of the shower stays clear.

Two lengths. The 11.8 inch bar takes one pair with room to spare. The 19.7 inch bar takes two or three pairs side by side, which is what you want if the whole family leaves their slippers in the same corner. Both stand 2.2 inches off the wall.

One thing to check first. The pad needs a flat, smooth wall - tile, painted plaster or glass - and it needs to be clean and dry before you press it on. Anywhere with texture, or a spot where the pad lands across a grout line and a tile edge at the same time, and it will not hold.

Kids can reach it themselves

Put the 19.7 low enough that my seven year old can hang her own shower shoes. Three pairs fit across with room between them and nothing sits on the floor getting gross. She actually remembers to do it now.

Small footprint for tiny bath

Our bathroom is the size of a closet so floor space is precious. This mounts on the wall and takes up almost nothing. The pads did take a couple tries to seat properly on our tile but once they clicked it was solid.

Still holding after two months

I've had mine up since early spring on glass and it hasn't budged a bit. No rust, no discoloration on the bar. For twenty something bucks it's held up way better than the adhesive hooks I tried before.

Holds one pair, not two

For a single pair of flip flops the 11.8 is great and it's held up over a month with no slipping. But my husband's size 12 slides barely fit next to mine and they overlap. If you have big shoes, spend the extra and get the longer bar.

Great in the wet room

We have an open wet room with no door and this handles the splash fine. Slippers dry out much faster than when they sat on the floor. Only thing is you have to press the pads on with real force, I didn't push hard enough the first time.

Only works on really smooth walls

It's a nice design and held fine on the glass, but I wanted it on the painted wall next to the shower and that wall has a light texture from the old paint. The pads just wouldn't seal. It's fair for what it is, just know your wall has to be dead smooth.

Aluminum bar looks sharp

I was worried it would look cheap but the brushed aluminum finish actually matches our fixtures pretty well. It's slim, only sticks out a little over two inches from the wall, so it doesn't crowd the shower.

Bought a second one

Liked the first one in the master bath so much I ordered a second for the kids' bathroom. The 19.7 fits all three of their pairs across it. Keeps that whole corner from turning into a pile of wet shoes.

Good but watch the grout line

The pad on one end landed right across where two tiles meet and it wouldn't grab. I moved it about three inches to the left so both pads sit fully on flat tile and it's rock solid now. Wish the instructions mentioned that more clearly.

Simple and it does the job

It's literally one bar and two pads. No basket, no hooks, nothing to figure out. My shower shoes sit soles out and drain straight into the pan instead of pooling water inside them.

I ordered the 11.8 thinking it would hold three pairs and it comfortably holds one, maybe two small ones. That's on me, not the rack. For our guest bath one pair is all we need anyway, so I kept it and it looks nice and minimal.

First attempt it slid down the wall within an hour. Turns out I hadn't gotten all the soap film off the tile. Scrubbed it with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, pressed it on again and it's been up for three weeks. Just be patient with the prep.

Perfect for a rental

I'm not allowed to put holes in anything so this was exactly what I needed. Stuck it to the glass panel at the end of the tub and my flip flops hang there drying all day. When I move out I just pop the latches and take it with me.

Finally off the wet tile

Our two pairs used to live on the floor right outside the shower and the grout was turning dark. Pressed this onto the tile beside the glass door, about chest height, and the floor in that corner is dry now. Took me maybe two minutes to install after I wiped the wall down.
