Borosilicate Spice Jar with Press-Open Steel Lid, 350/450 ml

Loved it for the first two months of daily scooping. Lately the lever on the cap feels a bit stiffer and needs more of a push than when new. Still opens and seals fine, just not as smooth. Keeping it since everything else about the jar is good.

It works and the seal is tight, my salt has stayed dry. But the borosilicate body is noticeably heavier than the plastic container it replaced, and with the steel cap it's a little top heavy when empty. Not a dealbreaker, just heavier in the hand than I pictured.

No complaints on function, salt is loose and scoopable and the press lid is genuinely handy. The stainless cap does show fingerprints pretty easily though, so I wipe it down every few days to keep it looking nice on the counter.

I ordered the 350 thinking it would fit my narrow spice cubby, but 4.3 inches was a hair too tall for the shelf clearance. That's on my measuring, the jar itself is solid. Ended up keeping it on the counter instead and it's fine there.

Holds my coarse salt great and seals properly, no clumping at all after a month. My one gripe is the included spoon barely reaches the bottom of the 450 ml jar when it's low on salt. I switched to a longer one from my drawer.

The jar does what it says and my salt is finally out of the bag. Only note is the lever needs a solid firm press, a light touch won't pop the cap. Not a problem once you're used to it, just took me a couple days.

Bought the 350 ml for salt, then came back for another in the same size for smoked paprika. They stack cleanly on my little rack and the lever mechanism works identically on both. Not a shaker, which is exactly what I wanted.

Three months of daily salt scooping and the 304 stainless cap has no rust spots or pitting, which I was worried about with the moisture near the stove. Glass has no chips either. Feels sturdier than the price suggests.

I keep this on the back burner side and press the lever with my thumb while my other hand is still on the spatula. Let go and it seals, no setting the lid down somewhere and losing it. Small thing but it changed my cooking flow.
