Fits if: around a faucet on a flat sink ledge at least 5.5 in (14 cm) deep. Trim the outer edge with scissors if the faucet sits close to the wall or a soap pump is in the way.

Not for: faucet decks that are recessed with no flat ledge. Ledges shallower than 5.5 in, where the mat would overhang. Anyone after a hard diatomite board - this one is soft silicone.

Size: 17.5 x 5.5 in (44.5 x 14 cm) laid flat. 8.1 oz (230 g) for the single mat, 16.2 oz (460 g) for the two-pack.

The counter behind my faucet was always wet. Not flooded - just permanently damp, with a ring of water around the base of the tap that I wiped up twice a day.

This mat sits around the faucet instead. Water that runs off the spout, or splashes while you wash, lands on the mat. The outer edge folds up so it stays there instead of running across the counter.

The surface slopes to a low end, and the water goes back into the sink. Nothing to tilt, nothing to empty.

17.5 in long, 5.5 in deep. Soft silicone, so it rolls up when you want to wipe underneath, and you can cut the outer edge with scissors if your faucet sits close to the wall.

One mat, or a two-pack if you want one at the bathroom sink as well.

What it is not: a hard stone board. If you want something rigid that sits perfectly flush, this is the wrong mat, and I would rather say so now.

What you get: one silicone mat, or two in the two-pack. No adhesive, no clips, nothing to install.
